The Code 313 Building serves as the initial home of Detroit Early Middle College's inaugural 9th-grade class. While this state-of-the-art facility provides an inspiring and innovative learning environment, DEMC's long-term vision is to transition to a college campus as the school grows. A core guiding principle of the Early Middle College model is the power of place—immersing scholars in a collegiate environment that fosters college-going identities, expands aspirations, and creates seamless pathways to postsecondary success. As DEMC continues to add grade levels and strengthen partnerships with higher education institutions, our goal is to provide scholars with the opportunity to learn and thrive directly on a college campus.
